Section 62 (1) and (2) of the Migration Act states if an applicant for a visa is invited to give additional information or to comment on information, and does not give the information or comment before the time for giving it has passed, the Minister (or a delegate of the Minister) may make a decision to grant or refuse to grant the visa without taking any action to obtain the additional information.
Migration Regulations provide a time limit of 70 days (49 days plus 21 days to allow time for postage) for you to respond, from the date of this letter. If I have not heard from you by that time, I may proceed to decide this application on the basis of the available information.
