Bear, it should be in Caveat Emptor, which is the appropriate place.

Im still getting use to this forum. Would have been nice if I was informed about where it should go and not just have it deleted by a moderator.

Bear, if you read the descriptions of the different forums & look at the forum policies you'll see they spell out fairly clearly where different types of posts should go.

You'd have to ask a moderator where this thread would be appropriate...Coffee Lounge would be my guess.

Non real estate related deals are not encouraged.

Unfortunately, as one member had a very bad experience in trying to buy an event ticket, you've been caught out.

Perhaps ebay may be a site where you'll get good interest?

Twas I who deleted your post.

As Acey pointed out, Caveat Emptor is the correct place for the posting of 'deals'... However, it is ONLY for the posting of actual real estate available for purchase, and only where the poster is willing to discuss openly the details of the deal so that the rest of us may dissect it.

Unfortunately, your listing breaks rule number 4 of the Rules for Caveat Emptor (which is the first sticky post at the top of the Caveat Emptor Forum).

One of our Longstanding and highly respected members, Michelle, had one of her posts similarly deleted only a week or two ago for the same reason, it wasn't a property!

Hope this explains it a little better.

I'm sorry you are disheartened, but, you will understand that as a moderator I have certain duties on the forum, and need to uphold the rules.

I have to note, however, that your first post on this forum was advertising.

Do you not find any other things you may wish to contribute to?

You joined this forum at about the same time as you joined the other forum you subscribe to, and you have managed to post over 700 times there, whereas your first post here was an ad.

Good luck with the posting of your tickets on that forum...

Anyway, as a moderator on that forum, I'm sure you understand my position.

Hope you find time to post lots here too. :)

Im disheartened coz there is nowhere to place it. Not having a go at you personally.

As a moderator on another forum as you have mentioned I have never deleted any posts, I have however locked some and moved some and always left an explanation for doing so upon doing so. I guess I was expecting the same from this forum. Having said that I will also mention that if I broke the rules unknowingly I still accept full responsibility for doing so. Ignorance on my part is no excuse for breaking any rules.

As far as not as many posts on this forum goes, there is a very good reason for that. For some reason until recently I was having alot of trouble when browsing this forum. But seems to be fine now. It kept coming up with some message about my browser wouldn’t read these pages and it was blocked. I had never blocked it. I have had this problem with other forums to and seems to have corrected itself there also.

Personally I don’t see how many posts I have placed on another forum has any relevance to this forum tho.

I just have to clarify one thing, the lady is not my wife, she is a very dear friend that I care for, I call her my partner as its easier.

So if there are any single property investing ladies out there lets chat......LOL :D

Very good moderation I would say.

Personally I don't think there should be any need for explanations, it should be up to the poster to read the forum rules, especially when it is a poster with no history.
