Is there anyway to remove your details from RP Data in terms of your contact numbers?
You can register on the "do not call" list, which will turn the entry into red type with a ^ - indicating to a user not to call you.
I'm uncertain how you'd get your details deleted however.
Sadly, being considered a public record, ownership details are available from the council, as well as the titles office. Its just that RPData is a less expensive, and easier search to do. That none the less, does not mean that people should not be any thing other than courteuos, when they make an unsolicited approach. Its funny that some people forget that they may have occassion to meet that person under different circumstances on another day.
Ive always been mystified that any of us can search price history, sales history of who owns what etc.
Its a wonder someone who likes his/her privacy hasnt challenged the privacy issue in court.
Its a damm easy way to track someone business affairs.
No possible in many European countries due to strict privacy laws.
Personally i like using it for leverage in negotiations but one the other boot I dont like people knowing my business either...

It never ceases to amaze me that when you (I) find an advertisement on domain or re.com that says it is Mortagee In Possession or "bank moving in", that you can look up the owner.....and then....with one click of a mouse, look up all the other property they own to see what else "might be coming on the market very soon"
Just spoke to a rep at RP Data and they mentioned that because your details are publicly available they can use them.
Hi. How does one use data from RP Data - if you pay for each property you look at, then surely you are spending a lot of money upfront?

Some investors get together and take out a shared subscription. That way one can play all day and all night looking up other people's property information.
