澳洲Australia property Dymphna Boholt investing in US | Sydney


在澳大利亚 The pool at of an IP needs to be resurfaced (or so the pool doctor says), the cost was estimated to be $10K ($10,000), after recoverying from my impresssion of a cat coughing up a fur ball, it just seems far too much. Its just a standard poo I need some advice regarding a property purchase. Property - semi-detached house Bedrooms - 2 Condition - average needs internal reno to modernise Street - one of the best in suburb Location - excellent Close to schools - yes Transport - 50m


Hi there

Just wondering if anyone has attended one of Dymphna Boholt's $4000 mentorship/courses? Was it worth the money?

The main reason is I'd like to invest in the US. I know there has been posts on Dymphna on this site but couldn't actually see one that says someone has done the mentorship and purchased in the states through her.

Or would also like to hear peoples experiences with investing through other US buyer advocacies. (not the buyers advocates themselves :)

I know there is quite a lot of advertising for these on this and other sites.

I am a reasonably experienced investor having owned a couple of multi families in Canada before but need someone/someone's contacts on the ground in the US who is going to give me value for my money

I have done my own due dilligence but can only do so much from here. (And don't have the time to spend a couple of months over there)

Any thoughts would be much appreciated

If you do a search in this site you will find several posts on this Lady but like everything in life it's a numbers game,and she is not the only one that sell dreams..willair..

Yeh I had read the older article on her before and yes doesn't paint a good picture... but I am a forgiving type and was wondering if anyone has had experience of late with her and US investing?

I know Robert Kiyosaki wishes he hadn't got involved with Russ Whitney - we all make bad business decisions at some stage - but that doesn't turn me off Robert Kiyosaki as he changed my financial life forever.

She may be still dealing with some dodgy people over there. I guess that it is what I'm hoping to work out.

To do the US investing I have to eventually trust someone on the ground over there. Would much rather do it myself but just can't get over there for long enough to do it.

I must say attending her free 1 day seminar reignited my interest in investing in multi family overseas (don't I wish I had never sold my Canadian multi family properties)

Would still like to hear some experiences with her or other US buyers advocates

Would like to get over there at some stage to check it out and maybe meet the wholesalers etc and see what goes on

What are wholesalers?

What part of the country? It's pretty big with oh, about 3000 different property markets within property markets.

Do you mean buyers agents/advocates? :confused:

If by wholesalers you mean companies buying whole streets of new vacant homes and selling them off one by one to "investors" from Aus, good luck :rolleyes: two words come to mind conflict and interest.

If they were great investments in the first place, they wouldn't be selling them.

FWIW, although I haven't purchased in the US, my reading and enquiries indicate that Texas is one of the states that may appeal. Multi family housing whilst cash flowing hasn't been hit hard at all by way of capital values. Discounts are available however for "cash purchasers"

Watch out for Californica and Nevada especially Lost Wages, apparently they are bulldozing entire estates/suburbs there.

If we were talking about Australia, what would people be thinking? Say someone from the US or UK said 'I'm going to take a trip to Australia and check out properties' and someone else says 'stay away from so-and-so state'.

My thinking would be, Australia is a big place. Might want to narrow your search a bit.

I have never heard her speak but have read a bit of her stuff from "Secrets of property millionaires"
The U.S market really only has one direction to go and maybe reading "The secret life of real estate property" by P.Anderson might shed some light.
I'm tempted to invest in the UK as my wife is from there and we go back to visit her family regularly. The market is on the canvas and potential CG is probably good. The real benefit would be having family over there to keep an eye on it for me and being local they know the reputable professionals in the field (or at least can identify the dodgy ones that the locals won't touch)

Hi all

I saw her a few days ago and she certainly appears to know what she is on about and is passionate about it.

She appears to cover all the bases to start correctly and be protected and get the most benefits from your structure.

She has qualifications in economics and accountancy and has worked for the big firms so its not like she hasn't got the industry knowledge.

As she indicated the industry process is packaged and thats it.

She has a lot of credibility and is an exceptional speaker.

In 5 years of running events I have come across ONE person who was not been criticized negatively by someone somewhere. And that is because they owned one property and did little else except speak about properties.

anyone who is anyone is usually criticized.

keep an open mind and use your own judgement. There is nothing worse than depriving yourself of education and learning because of someone else's view point.

I have a personal policy not to ever read anything written by negative people and only surround myself with positive happy people at all times.

And what does an economics degree and accounting experience have to do with property?

All go hand in hand. Its not to say you need those qualifications but if you are going to spruik to the masses and want them to have confidence in you it may just help.

i would be very careful with US investing - no mentoring program will set you up.

having seen second hand what someone needs to do to research a property in the US, there's a lot more to it than a wireless internet connection, an OS bank account and knowing a few good people.

I think you'll find the 4 top draw cards, who lift the event to a higher level, are not recommending you invest in anything other than your own health and human potential.

Much less risk and objective outcome measures of success for that.

But that has not been Dymphna's angle.
