澳洲Australia property Finding out about zoning | Sydney


在澳大利亚 The pool at of an IP needs to be resurfaced (or so the pool doctor says), the cost was estimated to be $10K ($10,000), after recoverying from my impresssion of a cat coughing up a fur ball, it just seems far too much. Its just a standard poo I need some advice regarding a property purchase. Property - semi-detached house Bedrooms - 2 Condition - average needs internal reno to modernise Street - one of the best in suburb Location - excellent Close to schools - yes Transport - 50m


Just a question as to where to find out if a second dwelling can be built on a property?

We are in the porcess of buying hopefully very soon and looking for bigger blocks for potentially adding another dwelling behind it, but am struggling to find out if this is possible.

Do I contact the local councils?

A town planner is your best bet. Some of the councils are really good and helpful, some are not. It is often hard to find a good experienced planner who works for the council, they get poached.

Thank you for your reply. We were looking at Mildura. Is it expensive to find out? This is all so new to us :)

100% correct with the links. Make sure there is sufficient access (past the original dwelling) if you intend to retain the original dwelling as this is usually the most profitable option as opposed to knock down and rebuild.
