Hi All,
I have just joined this thread and am aiming to educate myself in the property investment field. I am doing lots of market research trying to figure out what to buy and where.
I also want to self manage my properties, I specifically would like to buy a set of units when I can find the right property.

Is there just a lack of quality information out there? A lot of 'agents' who think they know everything but where can I find good quality information, books on self managing, websites, people in the industry??
Are there any courses that are worthwhile doing?

Any help would be fantastic!
Thank you
Tony

First read the rental tenancy act for your state. That will answer most questions.

Information for new investor

Hi Tony,

This is just an idea of what someone has said to me about five years ago. “If your end goal is to retire then why not take steps now to achieve that.”

Maybe you should ask the forum a different type of question, something like:
"From your (members of the forum) experience what do I need to look for or ask when selecting a top Property Manager who will be in charge of my rental property?"

You will find this forum a wealth of information to you on selecting a great Property Manager in your designated area. I hope this helps you out.

Kind regards,
Jason Moore

I believe that there's never been as much quality information around as there is today, the sheer weight of information might make it challenging to find the quality but it's there for the taking.

As Property Trader has pointed out it would be useful to work on your questions as they are so general at the moment as to be not that useful potentially.

A course on sales and or property management from an education provider accredited with your state Real estate organization could be a start if looking for courses and interested in managing!?
