在澳大利亚 Hi all, I currently have a PPOR and 10K cash in the bank which I plan to use as a deposit for a IP early next year. I'm thinking of putting bi-folds in the back of a full extension/renovation i'm doing.
A standard 3600mm costs around $6500 from a major window/door company.

Anyone know the cost difference compared to sliding and french doors, and is it worth the extra wow factor?

I've seen some companies that sell the tracks and parts etc.. seperately, is it worth buying all this stuff and getting the carpenter to assemble?
What about custom made from a joiner?
Any cheaper places I'm not thinking of, eg. auctions that would sell them?

Hi Dan,
I would try a few Cabinet making companies or Shopfitting Companies. They should be able to help you out for a little less.
i know that Hettich do make tracks that would suit your purpose, then all you need is the Joiner to manufacture your doors. Alternatively you could look through second hand dealers or the trading post and source pre made doors and just get a chippy to install!
