Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles has inspected a Japanese warship at the centre of a $10 billion military deal.
The Defence Minister was aboard the Mogami-class frigate ahead of a final agreement to buy the ships in early 2026.
The $10 billion deal will fund the acquisition of these ships to replace Australia’s aging ANZAC-class frigates.
