The New South Wales government is spruiking the benefits of a Great Koala National Park to be created on the state’s Mid North Coast.
Timber unions, however, say it was a rushed decision and fear thousands of jobs could be lost.
The Labor government claims the park will protect more than 12,000 koalas, 36,000 greater gliders, and be home to over 100 other threatened species.
