Site Manager-Auckland
Vikon Construction is currently seeking a SiteManager to join its team. The company offers residential construction serviceto assist clients to build their new homes, school & churches, leaky homerecladding, or renovation & extension projects.
Inthis new role, the Site Manager will need to manage multiple projects atvarious stages across Auckland. You will also need to regularly coordinate andliaise with the clients to ensure that the site works are being carried out toa high level of quality, to budget as well as to set time frames.
Thecandidate will need to be a motivated, highly organized, and have an eye fordetails. Furthermore you will need to have excellent communication skills towork with your team, subcontractors, and clients.
General tasks:
-Construction work quality control
-Ensuring construction progress is delivered within the set time frame
-Maintaining the highest standards of safety and solving potential safetyhazards
-Managing priorities and liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers, toensure the construction
proceed smoothly
-Completing related site administrative work and reporting issues and problemsto enable the
improvement scheme
You should have:
-Relevant Site Management experiences in New Zealand
-Having New Zealand working permit (citizen/PR/Working Visa)
-Holding valid and clear full New Zealand driving license, can drive truck
-Excellent verbal and written in both Chinese and English
-Conscientious, and excellent problem solving ability, able to work as a team
-Having knowledge about site health and safety plan (Work Safe Certificate ispreferable)
-Friendly, pleasant, diligence, and hard working characters

Site Assistant-Auckland
General tasks:
-Responsible for site daily chores
-Site records and liaison work
-Ensuring a good sorting out and cleaning at site
-Responsible for building materials procurement, inventory, loadingand unloading, transportation

Quantity Surveyor (Intermediate) , basedin Albany office
VIKON Construction is currently seeking anintermediate QS to join its team. This will suit junior QS looking to step up,or experienced (1 year+) QS in a residential and light commercial buildingfirm. Communication in both Chinese and English are required.
VIKONConstruction and Design is a diverse provider in the construction industry. Ourteams of project managers, QS, architectural designers, interior designers andinterior joinery makers collaborate to deliver high quality design and buildingprojects. We focus on medium scale residential developments, high endresidential houses, commercial interior design and commercial alterations. Ourclients include home owners, investors, property developers, business ownersand government agencies.
General tasks:
-Collaborate with project managers to deliver project plan
-Source and qualify subcontractors, issue accurate scope of works andprocurement
-Monitor and report on cost budget
-Assist project principals, architectural and interior designers to specifybuilding materials
-Generate project cost estimates from design documents. Produce and submittender documents
-Other administrative tasks associated with construction projects
-Cost reporting upon completion of construction projects
-Conflict resolution between project stakeholders
You should have:
-Relevant QS experiences in New Zealand
- Awareness and abilities to enforce health andsafety standards
-Good verbal and written in both Chinese and English
-Excellent understanding of drawings and specification documents
-Excellent understanding of building contract terms, Construction Contracts Act
-A valid New Zealand working permit (Citizen/PR/Work Visa)
-Strong work ethic, support company management and marketing strategies
-Holding valid and clear full New Zealand driving license
