Valcon Construction is looking for 1-2 On-Site Junior/Intermediate QS (Quantity Surveyor) and some construction workers

Quantity Surveyor:

Responsibilities for the QS role include but are not limited to the following:

Reviewing tender drawings and other tender documentation to prepare cost estimates in a method that is both clear and consistent.
Source and qualify subcontractors, assisting site managers with materials ordering and cost control.
Assisting with the month-end invoicing.
Other administrative tasks associated with construction projects
Knowledge of preparation of feasibility, budgets, variance analysis, etc.
Cost reporting upon completion of construction projects

The Candidate:

Qualifications in QS is preferred ideally.
The ability for time management, together with the capacity to plan and prioritize workload.
You will work alongside our Site Managers and report to the Project Manager
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Accuracy and attention to detail
Advance level in MSOffice especially Excel and QS software.

Construction Workers

• Working under the direction of each site manager, supervisor and foreman.

• Follow all safe work procedures, rules and instructions

• Foundations and garden work

• Assisting machine operators in construction projects

• Unloading and carrying materials at construction sites

• Assistance Digging and moving materials; heavy lifting

• Demolition and unloading/loading materials

• General site clean ups and assistance

Skills and Knowledge

• Practical skills

• An understanding of basic building methods and terms

• Knowledge of worksite safety rules

• Knowledge of correct lifting techniques

• You may also be able to operate heavy machinery or drive heavy vehicles.
