I am facing a similar problem at the moment. My citizenship is granted but I have not made the pledge so which means I have not been a Australian citizen and applied for Australia passport yet. My current Chinese passport is going to expire within half a year. One of my friend recommends that I can apply for a new Chinese passport and can use the new Chinese passport to go to China until it is expired in 2013 even though I have already had a Australia passport at the same time. She said I do not need to apply for Chinese visa in this case.
Does anyone do this before? Is it risky by doing this?

宣誓后,澳洲PR签证将被取消，继续使用PR签证进出澳洲有可能遇到麻烦。

小心为妙，俺是听说过有人入籍后拿中国护照回国结果被中国海关拒绝入境的。没必要为了一点方便冒这个险吧……
