Current and previous contributory parent category visa holders
If you have a married or de facto partner, and you are considering applying for a contributory parent
category visa, you should include your partner as a migrating family member in your visa application. If
you choose not to include your partner in your visa application, and you are then granted a contributory
parent category visa, you may not be able to sponsor your partner under partner migration for 5 years.
