•You are entitled to 510 hours of English tuition. At your first interview with an AMEP Counsellor you will discuss the best way for you to learn English
•You will need to register for the AMEP within six months (or 12 months if you are under 18 years of age at the time of registration).
•You must commence your tuition within 12 months.
•You will be required to complete the AMEP within five (5) years (this can be changed in special circumstances).
•You will also need to complete an AMEP Settlement Course which provides information about Australian society, culture, laws, services and practices.
