澳洲国内驾照的翻译服务-信息小结

今天研究在悉尼换驾照的事情，发现关于翻译驾照的问题和答案都比较多，有些信息/机构的叫法有些变化，看完还是有点晕，上网做了一下功课。分享如下。
1.关于RTA国内驾照的翻译件要求，网址贴不了，大家可以自己按照下面路径找：rms官网下->roads->licence-> moving-to-nsw
具体说明如下 -
Documents not written in English
If your overseas licence or confirmation letter is not written in English, you must provide an official translation.

Translations are only acceptable if they are from:

• The Community Relations Commission of NSW (previously the Ethic Affairs Commission). Visit the CRC website for more information
  

• The Free Translating Service provided by the Department of Social Services (DSS) or previously the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, now the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP). The free translation service is only available to eligible people. Visit the DSS website for more information.
  

• For South Korean (Republic of Korea) licences only, we accept translations from the Consulate-General of the Republic of Korea, as the Consulate verifies the licence details with the relevant South Korean (Republic of Korea) driver licence authority
  

• For Republic of China (Taiwan) licences only, we accept translations from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO), Sydney, as TECO verifies the licence details with the relevant Republic of China (Taiwan) driver issuing authority.
  

Translations obtained through any other means are not acceptable. --> 本来想拿租车公司的翻译件混一下，还是放弃吧。

3. 关于免费翻译，重点研究了一下。网址贴不了，大家可以自己按照上面提到的DSS链接找。

1. 该服务由AMEP的服务提供商来提供。
The Department of Social Services provides a free translating service for people settling permanently in Australia. Applications for the Free Translating Service are made at Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) Service Providers around Australia.

2. 适用对象/签证类型
Permanent residents, eligible temporary/provisional visa holders and returning Australian citizens are able to have personal documents translated into English within the first two years of their eligible visa grant date or arrival in Australia (whichever is later). Documents required for visa applications are not eligible to be translated through the service.

We offer a variety of translation services which includes personal documents (e.g. drivers licences, birth certificates, qualifications), sight translations, multilingual translations of pamphlets, transcription of audio/video tapes as well as checking and proofreading of translated material.

Our translation services can be provided within 24 hours, 7 working days and 14 working days.

TRANSLATION:
For personal documents (e.g. driver's licence, birth certificate) bookings can be made:

in person at any of the Commission's office locations, Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (Sydney), Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm (Parramatta), Wollongong office or Newcastle office
