I attempted to use a service provider (costing A$168) to hold a tender process to find the best deal for a HONDA CRV vtis AWD MY18, but the price listed by the responded dealers are far higher than that I quoted in private conversation. It does not appear that a formal tender process works well in finding the best deal for a new car. The service fee paid is a waste.
Lessons learnt: Please do not try a formal tender process. It is just a way to waste your hard earned cash.
