The car is Stock not lowered so would it be possible or not to fit 235 on the factory rim .
Car is 2011 VW Mk6 R.
I would be assumong clearance would be a issue or not

Can't say regarding clearance but you're already at the maximum recommended tyre width for a 7.5" wide rim although that does vary with tyre profile, but yours are 40% to start with so pretty low. 235/40x18 will fit but at the risk of more flex in the sidewalls, poorer handling etc. Plus of course clearance. I'm frankly surprised they use such narrow rims for the库存225/40x18s。
