Thank you for contacting Woolworths to raise your concerns regarding the recent incident involving Woolworths Group eVouchers.

Woolworths was alerted to a technical fault with the eVouchers purchased by customers via the Groupon website.

Customers who purchased six or more eVouchers (or specified recipients of those eVouchers) were sent a confirmation email containing a link to their own eVoucher, plus the first names, email addresses and links to the eVouchers of other customers who had also purchased (or were the specified recipients of) the eVouchers through Groupon.

No street or postal addresses, phone numbers or any financial details were released.

All eVouchers which formed part of the Groupon offer were cancelled on Saturday 30 May 2015 and new eVouchers were re-issued to affected customers.

Woolworths has notified the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (previously known as the Office of the Australian Privacy Commissioner) about the details of the incident.

Set out below are answers to some of the questions that you may have:

Which customers are affected?

Customers who purchased Woolworths Group eVouchers via the Groupon website from Saturday 23 May to Tuesday 26 May 2015.

Have my personal details been shared with other customers?

The first names, email addresses and links to eVouchers of affected customers were shared with customers who had purchased six or more eVouchers (or who were specified recipients of those eVouchers). No financial details, street or postal addresses or phone numbers were released.

Can I use the eVoucher I purchased?

All eVouchers which formed part of the Groupon offer have been cancelled and will not work in any store or online. Replacement eVouchers have been re-issued to all affected customers for use in-store or online.

What if I have already spent all or a proportion of my original eVoucher? Can I use the new eVoucher as well?

In the spirit of doing the right thing by our customers, even if you have already spent all or a proportion of your original eVoucher(s), we have not deducted this amount from the replacement eVoucher sent to you. You can therefore spend to the full value of the original eVoucher.

How did this happen and what has been done about it?

A technical systems fault occurred. Woolworths took immediate steps to investigate and resolve the incident and the fault has been rectified.
All original eVouchers have been cancelled and re-issued to their full value.

Woolworths has also notified the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner of the incident.

另外看这wws的意思 privacy breach的说法或者赔偿是没有了  不停强调 泄露的只是first name & email 问题不大 并且报备OAIC了
