Are you talking about the hot chickens they cook in store?
I buy the fresh Macro 'raw' chooks when ever they are on special, and have never noticed any salt, MSG,etc, flavours.

No, our local Woolworths has a prep area next to the ovens where they prep and season them as well as package the cooked ones. Your original thought was probably correct, someone at your WW likes their chicken spicy.
Personally, I'll stick to the Costco ones which are twice the size and half the price.
