47岁的劳伦·霍普金斯（Lauren Hopkins by paramedics at the scene and rushed to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
NSW Police released a statement on Tuesday that Ms Hopkins died in hospital at about 5.40pm on Monday.
Her 30-year-old son Mitchell Hopkins was arrested and taken to Mascot Police Station following the incident.
