Trade Minister Don Farrell has labelled US President Donald Trump’s plan to double steel and aluminium tariffs to 50 per cent as “unjustified” and “not the act of a friend”.
The American leader confirmed the decision on social media to increase the tariffs on steel and aluminium imports to 50 per cent, stating the new rate would take effect on June 4.
Mr Farrell claims the关税是一种“经济自我伤害”的行为，它将推高美国消费者的价格并损害澳大利亚钢和铝生产商。
