TAX 的覆盖面太大，没有什么窍门，只有认真读。go through 所有的work example 和 activity. 边读汇总topic 和 legal reference (i.e. case law/ ITAA)
如果有认识人在big 4 的话，KPMG 有自己做的notes 很好用。PLS 的notes 也很好, EY和很多small firms 是买他们的notes！

pls IS professional learning system. A training program provides CA program study assistance. I know PwC and EY pay for the CA candidates.

Actually, I think the technical help from PLS is more useful and exam preparation package from MTA (now is Kaplan) is not too bad. Other materials and lectures are all waste of time. I just attended one and half lectures of MTA for Audit, then I decided not to go coz nobody can help you if do not study and do the activities.
To be honest, I think exam is exam, which is much easier for Chinese candidates to pass. We are good at it. As long as you spend enough time on it and do more past exam papers, you will be fine. Keep it in mind that at least 50% people can pass it, so if you are better than 50% people then you will pass.
I got one merit for MAA, but for Tax I got half mark less than the Merit What I want to say is that if I can make it, then you can make it as well, coz I am sure I am older than you and my memory is worse than you :)
