可以申请延期。 去跟cpa联系一下，或者去网站上看看。

Yes officially you are required to complete all 6 segments within the time frame of 6 years.
If for some reason you cannot complete your study within the time frame, you can contact CPA office, explain your reason and you are eligible to get an extension of 1 semester or more, depending on your situation. (how many units you have completed, how long they think you still need).
They normally very happy to give you extension if you ask the FIRST TIME, if the first extension is still not enough then you will need to support stronger reason to explain why you cannot complete your study with extension, then they will have a meeting for your case and decide if there is further extension for you or not.
