Just wondering why is there such price difference for different speeds.Does it need extra equipment, of does it take more to produce the speeds ?

They already bough the equipment to handle the max speeds they want to sell, they are now just trying to maximise their revenue for each tier with the main aim to get at least a specific amount of revenue overall. The price differences between tiers have little correlation between their actual deliver cost.
