一场“迷你龙卷风”在维州Horsham地区造成一系列破坏，狂风吹倒树木并掀开部分房屋的屋顶，在当地造成极大破坏。
维州应急服务部门（SES）的工作人员接到数十个求助电话，超过150位居民家中断电。
SES的发言人Susan Davie表示，由于风势强烈，周一凌晨1点开始就有求助电话打进来。
她说：“这是一个地方性的天气事件，但是那里的状况听起来的确相当恶劣。”
“在过去的12个小时里，我们的Horsham分部收到了54个援助请求，其中有43个是有关建筑物严重受损。“
“所以说，狂风对建筑物造成了相当大的破坏，屋顶上的瓦片还有瓦楞铁板在风中四散脱落。在某些极端情况下，有的整个屋顶都被掀开了。 ”
“户外游廊和凉棚被吹上天，窗户也被飞扬的碎片砸碎。“
“当地很多树木被吹倒，并影响到输电电线。”
Davie女士说，Horsham当地的SES志愿者仍在积极响应求助电话，除此之外Ballarat, Bendigo, Hepburn, Gisborn, Bacchus Marsh以及 Hamilton的SES志愿者正在为Horsham提供支持。
Davie女士还表示，需要气象专家进行深入研究，以确定造成此次恶劣天气事件的根本原因。

A ‘mini tornado’ has left a trail of destruction in Horsham, with wild winds bringing down trees and ripping roofs off homes.
SES crews are responding to dozens of calls for help, and more than 150 residents are without power.
SES spokeswoman Susan Davie said the SES began receiving calls for help just before 1am Monday morning due to the intensity of the winds.
“It was a localised event but it sounded like it was some wild weather that occurred,” she said.
“In the last 12 hours our Horsham unit has received 54 requests for assistance; 43 of those were for building damage.
“So the wind caused quite a bit of damage to buildings, including roofs where there were tiles off roofs and corrugated iron off roofs and I understand in some instances whole roofs were taken off homes.
“Verandas and pergolas were blown around, windows were broken as well by flying debris
and there are also a lot of trees down impacting power lines.”
Ms Davie said Horsham SES volunteers were still responding to calls for help and SES volunteers from Ballarat, Bendigo, Hepburn, Gisborn, Bacchus Marsh and Hamilton were on their way to lend support.
Ms Davie said there needed to be an investigation from weather experts to determine exactly what caused the wild weather event.
