Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has announced she will run for the deputy leader of the Liberal Party, after defecting from the Nationals.
In a statement released exclusively to Sky News, Ms Price confirmed her candidacy and revealed she has formally endorsed shadow treasurer Angus Taylor for leader.

Ms Price argued that the party must stand for the "forgotten people" and "mainstream Australians".
