The NSW Court of Appeal is considering a request by the state government to remove a legal order preventing parliament from voting to expel convicted rapist and South Coast MP Gareth Ward.
A Sydney court has heard Gareth Ward's conviction for serious sex crimes is not enough on its own to warrant parliament to vote to expel the Kiama MP.
Mr Ward is currently behind bars in the Hunter等待判决，下个月标记。
