最近刚把房贷从WESTPAC转到了NAB,看银行的statement, westpac收了我两笔钱

Deferred Establishment Fee $700
我是2009年4月申请westpac房贷，2012年12月转出的房贷从westpac.
有谁知道Deferred Establishment Fee 是什么钱？怎么这么多？

I think it is a fee that Westpac charge to set up the loan for you in the beginning. Usually the condition is that you don't have to pay the fee at that time, and they will waive it if you stay with them at least 4 years (read your original loan contract). Actually a lot of the banks waived them now, didn't realise Westpac still do that.

这个是贷款的申请费，贷款在4年之内转到其他银行的话那么银行就会补收这个费用，超过4年的话就不收了。联邦政府宣布新法案规定如果贷款在2011年7月1日之后settle的话银行就不能再收这个费用了，7月1日之前settle的贷款仍然按照原始合同来执行。Westpac是从2011年5月1日开始执行这个新法案的。
