莫里森总理敦促维州“尽快解除封城”

莫里森总理已经呼吁维州政府尽可能迅速地解除封城， 说应该向新州学习。
延长的大墨尔本封城预计于周四晚上11.59结束， 而维州政府也说正在“逐日地”审查形势。
莫里森总理说， 虽然决定最后由州政府做出，但是他希望尽快地结束封城。
总理说， 目前墨尔本封城对于把孩子再次放在家里的家长来说尤其困难重重。
总理说：“ 在过去的18个月里， 孩子们已经失去了大量的在校时间。让孩子们尽快返回校园非常重要。”
“我希望维州实施的这些封城限制将尽快地解除。”
莫里森总理提到了去年年末在新州北海滨区（Northern Beaches）爆发疫情时新州政府的处理方法。
“在新州， 限制措施仅局限于悉尼一个特定的部分。因此我敦促维州政府尽快地解除这些限制。”
然而， 维州首席卫生官Brett Sutton（萨顿）说，维州目前的情形与以前的爆发不同， 也不能与新州发生的疫情相比。
萨顿教授说：“没有人处理过相似的爆发。 以前全国范围内爆发的疫情经常是单个病例，他们暴露在社区中。”
“我们看到过断路器式的封城， 以前不是没发生过- - 在珀斯发生过几次，在布里斯本发生过几次， 是在单一病例或者数个病例的情况下。”
他说， 目前维州正在应对的爆发是更加危险的病毒变种， 还有迟迟找不到线索的神秘病例。

PM urges Victoria to lift lockdown 'as soon as possible'
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has called on the Victorian Government to end Melbourne's lockdown as soon as it can, saying it should take a leaf out of New South Wales' book.
The extended lockdown for Greater Melbourne is slated to end on Thursday at 11.59pm, with the State Government saying it is being reviewed on a "day-by-day" basis.
Mr Morrison said while the decision was ultimately up the state he hoped the lockdown would be lifted soon.
The current Melbourne lockdown was especially tough for parents keeping kids home from school again, the prime minister said.
"Kids have lost enough time out of school over the course of the last 18 months. It's very important we get those kids to school as soon as possible," Mr Morrison said.
"I am hopeful that these restrictions in Victoria will be lifted as soon as possible."
Mr Morrison pointed to the way the NSW Government handled the COVID outbreak on the Northern Beaches at the end of last year.
"In New South Wales, the restrictions were contained to a very specific part of Sydney, so I would be urging that we move towards lifting those (Victorian) restrictions as soon as possible."
However, Victoria's Chief Health Officer, Brett Sutton, said the current situation in Victoria was different to previous outbreaks and could not be compared to what happened in NSW.
"No one has handled similar outbreaks. Outbreaks previously across the country have often been single cases who have had some community exposures," Professor Sutton said.
"We have seen circuit-breaker lockdowns, it is not as though they haven't occurred - they have occurred a couple of times in Perth, a couple of times in Brisbane, with single cases or just a couple of cases," he added.
Where it was appropriate, outbreaks in Victoria – such as the Black Rock outbreak – had been handled through contract tracing, Professor Sutton said.
However, the current outbreak in Victoria was dealing with more dangerous variants, as well as lingering mystery cases, he said.
"It is fair to say we have 300 those sites across metropolitan Melbourne, and they are very broadly spread. We know those primary close contacts. We have still seen some mystery cases, cases were we don't know where they have acquired it across Metro Melbourne."
