新州州长贝瑞吉克莲宣布辞职不到48小时，一个在change.org的要在留下的请愿获得了将近四万个签名。
大约有30个请愿，其中一个叫 “Don’t let Gladys Go,” (不要让Gladys走)，这些请愿是不让贝瑞吉克莲辞掉新州自由党领袖职位。
Change.org说一名即将离任的党派领袖获得这么多支持的不寻常的。
其中一个请愿信说:"贝瑞吉克莲是一名出色的领袖，在她应对过去20个月里新冠灾难的方式让我们作为澳洲人感到自豪"
签名者在回复中分享了他们非常想贝瑞吉克莲女士继续留任的热情还有谴责新州廉政公署对她的调查。
其中一个签名者说，“Gladys是最好的州长，如果她要走就要她当总理。"
"我对澳洲政客感到气愤和羞耻。背后捅刀，得理不饶人，没有效率。Gladys是一名有正直，坚强和有奉献精神的人，对她的人忠诚，不管是在顺境还是逆境。她也是人，跟我们一样，不是管理这个国家所谓的神。Gladys我们会一路陪着你。"
另外一个人说:"廉政公署在疫情期间秀肌肉简直是笑话。Gladys哪里都不去。这本来是可以等的。"
在礼拜六，她在悉尼北部 Northbrigde选举办公室的图片，还有她家外面有很多悉尼居民留下的气球和卡片他们对于她爆炸性的辞职感到气愤。
几个人在社交媒体上回复说他们对人们呼吁贝瑞吉克留任的请愿感到震惊，因为她在收到反贪部门的调查。
change.org 请愿活动负责人Nic Holas在推特上说这名州长得到的签名人数远远超过那些要求改领导人或者政治丑闻的请愿。

The NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) will hold a further public inquiry in Operation Keppel from 10:00 am on Monday 18 October 2021.
The Commission is investigating whether, between 2012 and 2018, the Hon Gladys Berejiklian MP engaged in conduct that:
constituted or involved a breach of public trust by exercising public functions in circumstances where she was in a position of conflict between her public duties and her private interest as a person who was in a personal relationship with the then NSW Member of Parliament, Mr Daryl Maguire, in connection with: grant funding promised and/or awarded to the Australian Clay Target Association Inc in 2016/2017; and grant funding promised and/or awarded to the Riverina Conservatorium of Music in Wagga Wagga in 2018; and/or
constituted or involved the partial exercise of any of her official functions, in connection with: grant funding promised and/or awarded to the Australian Clay Target Association Inc in 2016/2017; grant funding promised and/or awarded to the Riverina Conservatorium of Music in Wagga Wagga in 2018; and/or
constituted or involved the dishonest or partial exercise of any of her official functions and/or a breach of public trust by refusing to exercise her duty pursuant to section 11 of the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 1988 to report any matter that she suspected on reasonable grounds concerned or may concern corrupt conduct in relation to the conduct of Mr Daryl Maguire; and/or
was liable to allow or encourage the occurrence of corrupt conduct by Mr Maguire.
The Commission is also investigating whether, between 2012 and August 2018, Mr Maguire engaged in conduct that involved a breach of public trust by using his public office, involving his duties as a member of the NSW Parliament, and the use of parliamentary resources, to improperly gain a benefit for himself, G8wayInternational/G8wayInternational Pty Ltd and associated persons.
The general scope and purpose of the public inquiry is to gather evidence relevant to the matters being investigated for the purpose of determining the matters referred to in section 13(2) of the ICAC Act.

“Sharing with Chinese business partner so commission is 20k usually it’s 50% of that but I will only ask for 25% cause uts (sic) such a small sale,” Mr Maguire replies.
According to the NSW Premier, that’s all completely legal in NSW … a sitting MP taking a commission for a property deal? Totally fine, as long as he declares it to Parliament.
Well, it shouldn’t be. What sort of madness is NSW politics that the Premier, her entire frontbench and MPs don’t know this is wrong?

Gladys Berejiklian and Daryl Maguire: A timeline
MARCH 2015: Ms Berejiklian and Mr Maguire begin a 'close personal relationship' around the time of the NSW election. Ms Berejiklian was the transport minister while Mr Maguire, a parliamentary secretary, was separated from his ex-wife.
APRIL 2, 2015: Ms Berejiklian appointed NSW treasurer after the coalition is re-elected.
JANUARY 23, 2017: Ms Berejiklian becomes NSW premier, replacing Mike Baird. Mr Maguire is retained as a parliamentary secretary in her government.
AUGUST 2017: Ms Berejiklian tells Mr Maguire she would like him to quit parliament at the 2019 election so the pair can go public with their relationship. Ms Berejiklian says Mr Maguire also wanted that.
SEPTEMBER 7, 2017: Ms Berejiklian is heard in a telephone intercept saying she 'didn't need to know about that bit' as Mr Maguire discusses his financial interests at Badgerys Creek Airport, and a land deal which would net him a large windfall. A day earlier, Mr Maguire texted Ms Berejiklian that 'we clinched the land deal'.
NOVEMBER 2017: Louise Waterhouse, a western Sydney landowner, twice emailed Ms Berejiklian after being given her private address by Mr Maguire. She requested help with rezoning changes around Badgerys Creek Airport that would benefit a parcel of her land. Ms Berejiklian did not respond.
JULY 13, 2018: Mr Maguire appears before ICAC, with evidence heard that he sought payments to help broker deals for property developers.
AUGUST 3, 2018: Mr Maguire resigns from the Berejiklian government at the behest of Ms Berejiklian and other frontbenchers, with Ms Berejiklian saying she is 'pleased' and 'relieved' but privately she remains in contact with Mr Maguire.
MARCH 23, 2019: The coalition retains government in the 2019 NSW election.
SEPTEMBER 13, 2020: Ms Berejiklian cuts off all contact with Mr Maguire and agrees to support an ICAC inquiry into his business interests.
OCTOBER 12, 2020: Ms Berejiklian's relationship with Mr Maguire is revealed at ICAC.

政治人物的评价一般都有争议，但前州长至少是做事的而不是只会说好话的，很多民众还是认可的。
交友不慎判断失误，确有其事
但清零党所指责的封锁措施其实都是事后诸葛亮，面对Delta还指望清零已被证明是不现实的，最多延缓一点而已；而开放是大势所趋，病例是会中长期都存在的
这有点像道德绑架。请愿者表达出来的信任把她推到一个道德高地。
如果她觉得自己也有错的话，就没脸回来。只有没有污点的时候才行。然而“人无完人”，这是不可能的。

Painting embattled NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian as a victim for “falling in love with the wrong guy” is demeaning, stupid and sickening.
Gladys Berejiklian is a tough, smart operator.
She is a woman to be admired for her guts, her work ethic and her strength.
This week, we also found out she is not the Joan of Arc-style nun we all believed, which for some reason has prompted one of the most humiliating public defences since Shane Warne blamed his mum for those diet pills.
A chorus of middle-aged blokes who serve under her command in the NSW Cabinet have emerged to declare a woman who eats two Arnott’s Cheds biscuits for breakfast has “a heart of gold” and has been let down by a cad.
Even former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull burst into song to insist that she should “certainly not” resign because she “fell in love with the wrong guy.”
But her ‘bad boyfriend’ survival strategy, which rests on casting a 50-year-old woman as a lovesick teenager in an episode of DeGrassi Junior High, is sickening.
It’s so demeaning and stupid, it just might work. But at what price for women in workplaces across Australia?

其实有人请愿支持州长，不是不合理。 但是48小时你就搞出几万人签名，这还是有点离谱。 反疫苗游行都没这么强组织力，贝瑞吉克莲也不是什么完美的圣人口碑，签名速度太快了，不寻常。

去年大选前，为LIBERAL选区大量拨款拉选票被公布出来就应该下台，有那个国家的选举，会有这样的事发生？从去年开始公开调查，她没有辞职，现在事情调查到她头上了，再不辞职，那就只能等公布后再下台，那就尴尬了！
垃圾的澳洲LIBERAL, 从州到联邦，都是大量的利益输送，而且是公开地利益输送，居然都能被容忍，而且支持，真是怪事！从那个西澳原来那个LIBERAL州长、垃圾副首相、再到新洲这个州长、到现在的首相大量为新洲输血...... 连起码的公平公正都做不到，这样的垃圾政党最后选出的也只能是这些垃圾LEADER.

从2020年9月ICAC开始调查前男友，他们可能采取了监听监控等技术手段，并且搜集了文字账目证据和证人证词。
想一下反贪公署都是精英的律师和调查人员，如果他们手头没有点真凭实据，谁敢公开说要调查一个在任州长.
