A property owner who bought a crumbling house has laughed all the way to the bank after revamping the abode during an episode of Homes Under The Hammer.

Ms Joseph later met the new owner, Tamina, an eye surgeon who had snapped up the dwelling for a whopping £697,000.

It was her first time renovating a house in three decades and she brought her friend Humar along for the initial viewing. 

With a damp issue and no ceilings in the house, Tamina also had plans to extend the property and add a loft extension – and all with a budget of £150,000.

Unfortunately for Tamina, the renovation works were hit with delays and even saw four different teams of builders work on the house.

When cameras returned to property 18 months later it was unrecognisable as the true cost of the works was revealed.

Tamina admitted her modest budget of £150,000 didn't stretch as far as she had imagined and ending up forking out £250,000 in total.
