The City 2 Surf 14km course starts from Hyde Park and finishes at Bondi Beach. The event has raised $59 million for charity since 2008.
The route goes through Kings Cross, into Rushcutters Bay, Double Bay, and Rose Bay, before the uphill stretch starts at Heartbreak Hill towards Vaucluse.
