Woman set alight at petrol station
一女子在加油站被人放火烧伤
A woman has been taken to hospital with burns to nearly all of her body after she was set alight at a petrol station in Bayswater, in Melbourne’s east, this morning.
今晨在墨尔本东部Bayswater镇的一家加油站，一名女子被人放火烧伤，当她被送到医院的时候，几乎体无完肤。
The woman’s partner allegedly stopped bystanders from extinguishing the flames before running from the service station on the corner of Mountain Highway and View Road just after 8.30am.
据称8：30左右，该名女子的男友在Mountain高速公路和View路夹角的加油站阻止路人扑灭大火，并随后逃逸.
Heavily armed police surrounded the Church of Christ on Mountain Highway, about 200 metres from the Caltex service station, where the man was holed up in a courtyard.
警方重重包围了Mountain高速上一间离Caltex加油站约200米远的一座基督教教堂，该名男子就藏匿在其庭院内。
At about 10.15am, two loud shots rang out, believed to be canisters of tear gas.
10：15左右，人们听到了两声巨响，估计是（警方投掷了）两枚催泪弹。
Police arrested the man and led him away in handcuffs.
警察逮捕了该名男子，并铐上手铐将其带走。
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the incident was believed to be domestic-related. The woman was also suffering stab wounds.
维州警署发言人称，（警方）认为此次事件是由家庭纠纷引起。那名女子还另负刀伤。
Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman Susannah Wilson said the woman suffered extensive burns to nearly all of her body.

The woman, who was in a critical condition but was conscious when paramedics arrived, has been flown to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition.
在医务人员到达的时候，该女子情况危急，但神志仍清醒。目前她已被直升机紧急送往Alfred医院。
Truck driver Beau Flemming said he was driving down the Mountain Highway when he heard an explosion and saw the car alight.
卡车司机Beau Flemming称当时他驾车走到Mountain高速，听到了爆炸声，并看见汽车着火。
He said bystanders grabbed fire extinguishers and tried to help the woman, who was completely engulfed in flames, however the man prevented anyone from approaching her.
Beau说好几名路人拿起灭火器想要救助葬身火海的女子，然而那名男子却阻止任何人靠近她。
"The male was running around waving knives and everyone was trying to help the female and it went pear-shaped real quick," he told Radio 3AW.
Beau跟3AW电台说：“那名男子握着刀子围着（车子）跑，大家都试图救助那女子。情况很快就失控。”
"[She was] engulfed, completely. All her hair, everything. There was not one bit of white skin left."
“（那名女子）被火焰完全吞没了，她的头发，全身没有一寸肌肤剩余。”
He said a bystander jumped in his Hummer and drove at the man in a bid to "run him over so we could have access to her".
一名路人开着他的悍马车冲向那名男子，企图将“撞翻那名男子，以便我们能救她。”
"He was waving knives around at us, a very scary situation for everyone," Mr Flemming said.
“他拿着刀子朝我们挥舞，这样的场景对每个人而言都挺恐怖” Flemming说。
"[He was ] telling her to burn, yeah, just not a very pleasant sight.
“（他）喊着让她烧，哎，实在让人不忍看。”
"The car was completely engulfed, she was completely engulfed, there was just black smoke pouring out from underneath the servo. We were just trying to get her away because we didn’t know if they had shut the valves off to the pumps or anything."
“汽车被火焰完全吞没了，她也被火焰完全吞没，只见加油站上方黑烟滚滚。我们努力想把她救出来，因为我们不知道（工作人员）是否关闭了加油站的阀门。”

跟楼主一样，我在不确定新词语的时候，也会去wiki 看解释。我当时翻的那篇讲油画的，真让我出汗。反正已经赚到一笔活动分了，也不打算再翻了。很佩服楼主翻的另外一篇是有关验尸官和法医的，厉害！
