Ask the bank what kind of authorization documents you may need to do it. I still think it is hardly a yes for you thou.

You must buy a bank cheque with money, apparently that is her money.
I was just trying to explain to you that the bank won't let you just do it because it means the bank will allow anyone walk in with a pin and use money associated with that account.
Small amount maybe. Large amount requires a bank cheque? I'd say you at least need some authorization documents from your mum.
Ask the bank is much easier.
If you want to open a cheque account... so you mum can write a cheque that is personal cheque. You can ask the bank on your mum's behalf whether she can have a cheque book with her account. Then whether you can pick it up for her.
But lot of places do not accept personal cheque.
