Theoretically, floor mounting is better in heating mode and higher mounting is better for cooling.

The same reasons as you, I have a Mitsubishi floor consul.
This was to replace our ancient Daiken unit.
It was the only one that fitted under the windows.
Works perfectly and no problems after ten years.
