前新州自由党州长John Fahey去世。
Fahey先生在1992年至1995年当任州长，为新州和澳大利亚服务了将近二十年。

He was NSW premier from 1992 to 1995.
One of his most notable achievements was his role in the successful bid for Sydney to host the 2000 Olympics.
"Many of us would remember the celebrations that immediately swept the nation after Sydney was announced as the winner — and the image of Mr Fahey jumping for joy at the news," Ms Berejiklian said.
As NSW premier, he introduced the disability services act, the NSW seniors card and appointed the first minister for the status of women.
