Manly地方法院获悉，稍早时候在北部海滩的一个建筑工地发生暴力冲突，当时一名建筑工人挥舞着沉重的金属砸断了工地上工头的胳膊。
现年47岁住在Campsie的Yew Choy Chong承认自己当时处于“愤怒状态”，在Freshwater区的Harbord Diggers俱乐部停车场于午休期间用一米长的成一定角度的金属砸断了老板的左臂。
Chong的重击使受害者折断的臂骨在皮肤下明显突出，受害者被紧急送往北部海滩医院进行手术。
Chong已经对一项鲁莽严重伤人罪行认罪。
在提交给法警的情况说明中描述，来自马来西亚持难民过桥签证留在澳大利亚的Chong，于3月23日周一在俱乐部停车场的建筑工地上工作。他的工头负责整个工作现场。
警方表示，大约中午时间，这位工头和另一位建筑工人在餐厅里发生了激烈的争吵。
Chong对警察说在听到喊叫声后，他担心工头要殴打对方。
于是Chong向其他建筑工人“挥手请他们过来帮忙”。
警方在案情说明中写道：“在那时，Chong用一块大约1米长带角度的沉重银色金属制建筑材料武装了自己。”
接着Chong挥舞着这根金属棒砸向工头的头部。
“受害者举起手臂保护自己，阻止了金属棒击中自己的头部。“警方表示：”但是金属砸中他的左前臂，造成了严重的复合骨折。“
Chong“承认自己当时很愤怒”，但表示主观上无意“在此过程中击打或杀死受害者”。
地方法院法官Michelle Goodwin将于12月2日在曼利地方法院押后审理。

A building worker wielding a heavy piece of metal broke his foreman’s arm during a violent workplace disagreement at a northern beaches construction site, Manly Local Court has been told.
Yew Choy Chong, 47, of Campsie, has admitted to being in “a rage” before smashing his boss’s left arm with a one metre length of angled metal during a lunchtime row in the car park at the Harbord Diggers club at Freshwater.
The blow from Chong left the victim’s smashed bone protruding from the skin. He was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital for surgery.
Chong has pleaded guilty to one count of reckless grievous bodily harm.
In a facts sheet tendered to court police said that Chong, who is in Australia from Malaysia on a refugee bridging visa, was working on a building site at the club car park on Monday, March 23. His foreman was in charge of the job site.
Police said a heated verbal argument started about midday in a meal room between the foreman and another building worker.
After hearing yelling, police said Chong became concerned that the foreman was going to assault the other man.
Chong then called out to other construction workers “waving them over for assistance.”
“During this time (Chong) has armed himself with a heavy silver metal piece of angled construction material, approximately one metre in length,” police wrote in the facts sheet.
Chong then swung the length of metal at his foreman's head.
“The victim raised his left forearm to defend himself and to stop the metal object striking him in the head,” police wrote.
The metal smashed into his left forearm, causing a compound fracture.
In the facts sheet police wrote than in an interview at Manly police station. Chong “made admission to being in a rage” but had no intention to “hit or kill the victim in the process”.
Magistrate Michelle Goodwin adjourned the matter for sentence in Manly Local Court on December 2.
