Four men have been arrested and charged for looting in the flood-devastated region of the New South Wales Mid North Coast as police discover locals’ stolen goods.
Police officers were conducting patrols in the hard-hit town of Taree about 9.30am on Thursday when they stopped a male cyclist on Crescent Avenue, located on the banks of the Manning River.

All four men, aged between 20 and 44, remain before the courts.
Taree locals have reacted with dismay to the developments after news of the fourth arrest was posted on a Taree community Facebook page.
