It is possible if the new employer allows fringe benefits. Interview or selection test are exempt from FBT so technically you can request to salary packaging the costs, effectively income tax free.

Everyone is talking about income tax deduction, however, based on section 58A of the FBT assessment Act, the costs for a job interview is exempt from FBT. That is in relation to the interview before getting the employment contract.
The only issue is whether the employer is willing to allow you salary packaging such costs. If yes, that means the costs will be income tax and fringe benefits tax free.
