A senior member of the notorious Alameddine crime network is one of three people shot in a brazen attack outside a Turkish restaurant in south-west Sydney, weeks after he survived an attempt on his life that killed an associate.

Opposing Azari’s bail application last month, prosecutors argued to keep Azari behind bars, telling the Downing Centre Local Court that his release could spark further violence in a “tit-for-tat” gangland war.
“This incident was targeted toward Mr Azari,” Jiang told the court.
“The reason why is his connection and significant holding in the Alameddine [organised crime network].”
